Opening of the exhibition "Russia - the territory of inventiveness and creativity" at WIPO on September, 30

Russia presented advanced developments in the field of nuclear and space industries at the WIPO exhibition in Geneva

The exhibition demonstrating Russia's technological innovations in space, nuclear energy and computer technology opened on Monday at the headquarters of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva. The Russian stand was organized by the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the United Nations Office in Geneva in partnership with Rospatent, Rosatom and Roskosmos.

Visitors can take a virtual trip around the site of the pilot demonstration energy complex (PDEC) of the Proryv project. The Proryv Project implemented by the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom is aimed at achieving a new quality of nuclear energy, development, creation and industrial implementation of closed nuclear fuel cycle (CNFC) based on fast reactors that will lead to development of a large-scale nuclear power industry. The project involves more than 30 companies. During the virtual “trip” on the PDEC site, visitors are given the opportunity to view the reactor BREST-OD-300 and fuel fabrication process and see the spherical photo panoramas of current construction site.

In addition, Rosatom presents physical mock-up of the MLTK-20 – mobile laser technological complex designed to eliminate man-made accidents. Additionally, visitors can see the mock-up of the unique multi-purpose high-flux fast-neutron research reactor MBIR. Also, is presenting mock-up of the research reactor (15 MW) of the Center for Nuclear Science and Technology (CNNT), which is a multi-purpose center for physical research, production of isotopes for medical and industrial purposes, as well as personnel training.

Visitors will also be able to familiarize themselves with the «Cosmos 360» project – take a walk in 3D glasses under zero gravity around the International Space Station and walk into open space, see astronauts work and launch satellites into Earth orbit.

ALAS VR is a technological system of virtual reality platform which operates using Earth remote sensing imagery to create digital copy of the world and variety of manmade or natural objects. ALAS VR allows easy and realistic interaction with the real-like world. Platform is applied for teaching geography, ecology and history by creating life 3-dimentional environment with heavy presence effect. ALAS VR is used by government authorities and corporations for presentation of investment opportunities and visualization of future projects.

Russian experts will be glad to provide insight into presented technologies and their applications. The exhibition is open until 9th of October.
