COMMENT on the lack of UNICEF's response to the illegal activities of the Ukrainian "Mirotvorets" website

Comment of the Russian Permanent Mission to the UN Office and other International Organizations in Geneva on the lack of response from UNICEF to the illegal activities of the Ukrainian "Mirotvorets" website
(September 14, 2022)

The “Mirotvorets” website is, essentially, a hit list made by Ukrainian nationalists that publishes personal information on individuals (including minors), who are regarded as “enemies of the state”.

Since October 2021, Russia has repeatedly called on the UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) both publicly and through diplomatic channels to address the illegal activities of “Mirotvorets”.

Currently, it contains private data, including home addresses, of at least 327 children, which poses a direct threat to their life and safety.

We call on UNICEF to step away from the double standards in its mandate "to protect all children from violence and abuse all over the world" and condemn the activities of “Mirotvorets” and its blatant violations of children's rights.
