1998 - 1999 - Deputy Director, First CIS Department

1999 - 2002 - Director, Fourth CIS Department

2002 - 2004 - Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Slovak Republic

2004 - 2008 - Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Vienna, Austria

2008 - 2011 - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Responsible for relations with Asian countries, multilateral cooperation in Asia and the Pacific

Since December 2011 - Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the United Nations Office and other International Organizations in Geneva, Permanent Representative to the Conference on Disarmament
